Hon, being tired is what made me move to cali and it has been a life changing experience for me... what a wonderful new chapter!!
I ahve found that in my life when these moments happen I reflect on the good things in my loife and appreciate them just a little more.

I am in agreement my friend! I would love to have all of those things that I mentioned as well but they are just a bonus to the real thing that I desire so much. If people would take the time to read my profile they would see that this poem is not asking for anything more or less than the daisies that life has to offer.

Seeing you swagger like the Duke would make me giggle and that would be a nice thing, knowing you are a sweet man that is doing it just for that reason would warm my heart.

I was in a funk the other day and this is what came of it... It felt good to just get the questions out.

I bleed just to know
That I am alive
Independently strong
Not part of the hive

Not steel and mechanics
Just flesh and bone
Existing with others
Yet ultimately alone

My body grows older
Being ravaged by time
Growing up’s not an option
It’s a hideous crime

You call this world normal
I say it’s insane
Living to work, working to live
How cruelly mundane

We all bide our time
Waiting for the change
Do you think in our lifetime
It will be in range

Begging and pleading
We hang onto hope
But I’ve found a new way
With all I can cope

Living for me
In this “abnormal” way
Is something that’s letting
My sanity stay

I walk around bare
My soul you can see
If you can get past
The outer shell of me

I am still a person
The same one you know
It is just some skin
I more easily show

I’m standing here now
With no place to hide
Looking forward to life
And the rest of the ride

Can anger
be productive?

Could tears
be seductive?

Can pain
bring a smile?

Should sorrow
last a while?

Can frustration
be alright?

Would blind furry
ever give sight?

Can rage
deliver you?

Will peace
ever be true?

I'm not looking
for a man

John Wayne
swagger

Or that wild
pretty boy
with a mirror
who is a
bragger

the man
shooting for
Donald Trump's
money

He doesn't even
have to be
comical or
side splittingly
funny

I'm not interested
in a man
because of his
Brad Pitt
looks

And I surely
won't hold it
against him
if he doesn't read
books

I just want
a man
that holds me

And wants me
to be there
right at his side
be it day or

through good and bad

I have 11 now and they all have meaning to me...

1. the one on my neck is obvious
2. chocolate chip on my shoulder... chip on my shoulder ;)
3. yosemite sam on my... ummmm nevermind... my alter ego
4. crying heart over my heart... hard life and hard times then
5. band of flowers around arm... didn't want barbed wire and i drew it
6. heart and flowers above #5... life a little better
7. family crest on my shoulderblade... need to explain?
8. face, skull, crystal ball on other shoulderblade... past, present, and future
9. interlocked hearts right calf... me and special someone
10. teddybear on left calf... my daughter drew it and asked me to
11. roses on right leg... reminder to take time to stop and smell the roses

Getting ready for number 12 and it will be this

Will go on back of right calf and it is something that I try to remember daily and live by so why not?
