Bros I dey feel you die! Abeg nothing do you. I hear you! Just trying to put matters in proper perspective. It's not africans who are at fault, it's their government, for not helping them enough. I suppose if Nelson Mandella keeps falling ill, then no wonder he can hardly get anything done. Maybe I should ship him some anti-biotics over. At least then he'd be able to get things in order :) Mandela is only 1person,and only for the Republic of South Africa!! Not beyond....and he's pretty old,no type of anti-biotic can bring back his youth!! Btw, Its some countries in Africa that are poorly governed,not all of it!! ...And Mandela is no longer president of South Africa. Some African governments really don't help their citizens at all. IMF/World Bank policies which they are induced to follow are not aimed at the welfare of Africans. Rather, the policies ensure that Africa continues to be a producer of raw materials and a ready market for western goods and services. African leaders who don't comply, risk the fate of Gaddafi or are maligned and ostracised like Mugabe. However, that shouldn't stop the delivery of our jet or the flow of our champagne. We've got to be in the good books of Uncle Sam and his friends, you know. |

I think the Chinese have a lot to do with one satellite. We should give them the credit.
The BH issue is a sad reality. Those are some of the people we need to send away. We had Virgin-Nigeria but things didn't quite work out between Branson and the authorities. What I think we need is Virgin Galactic. We've got candidates for mars colony... ...And places to cool off under the exhilarating tropical sun. |

Heeeeey, No sharing that Dom Perignon??? Am thirsty! Ha ha ha. The champagne will not pop. I wish someone would show me how to post pictures. My dear,i have a 7yr long friendship with a Hausa gentle man,one of the kindest,sweetest men i've ever known! He's an engineer and heads the humanitarian department in a global aid organisation..... So,when it comes to people,i try to stay away from generalising! Thanks for having something good to say about Nigerians. Most well trained nigerians are like that. Altho, Nigeria has some of the smartest people i know! Too smart-most times,not knowing what to do with it!! You'd do well giving some countries a bit of that people smarts! The Europeans sent their 'smart' (bad) guys away to new colonies when they cleaned out their societies. Someone please tell Richard Branson and his friends that we have the human material to start a new mars colony. |

From what I've seen online, people don't seem to like Nigerians very much, and that's not because we are losers.
There are a large number of good Nigerian professionals working in Nigeria and dispersed around foreign countries. You don't get to see them or hear of them because they are very private people; they don't use dating sites and they don't send scam mail. How many doctors, lawyers, engineers or other professionals from Europe, USA or South Africa use these sites? Very few, I believe. Nigerians are the most educated Africans in the USA. We are not poor. Next to France, Nigeria is the highest importer of luxurious champagne. Also, next to China, we are the highest purchasers of luxury private jets. In addition, the world's richest black man and woman are Nigerians. They did not make their fortunes in foreign countries. Not too long ago, Nigerians were courted like Arabs by the West. And even now, they poach our young, luring them to western schools and universities, where they spend about $1b annually. When the portuguese came to trade; we welcomed them. Then the British came to colonize; most of us did not resist them. When the Lebanese fought a war, we gave them refuge. Liberia, Serria Leone and Kosovo, we assisted. Equitorial Guinea too. Even the USA received aid from Nigeria after Hurricane Katrina. We were in the forefront of the battle against apartheid and gave South Africans refuge during those dark years; and supported the MPLA in the Angolan civil war and their fight for independence. Currently, our troops are in Mali. Like the American dream, there are opportunities for every one here. Our current president grew up without shoes in the same country where I was chauffeur driven and wore shoes to school. We may have bad managers but no one is better than us. Although, unfortunately, we have 80million poor; we also have 80million people who are not...and that is much larger than the population of many countries. So, I could be popping 'Dom Perignon Rose' in my private luxury Boeing 767-430 before this thread closes! Believe.... |

Also, I agree that Christ should control our fight or flee responses which depends on what we've been called for. e.g. David couldn't build the temple cos he was tainted with blood; but Elijah executed the prophets of baal and Simon cut off a man's ear.... |

Shouldnt it be ewomancipation?- Lol This is a reminder of the Women’s Liberation Movement of the sixties and seventies. Readers Digest claimed that after a women’s lib meeting, they declared: “We will not be dictated to;” and promptly became stenographers. Woman is man too, but female species. its actually WIVES made to be submissive to husbands AND husbands to submit to wives (its in the bible too, though most dont memorize the latter like they do the former) as far as 'equal' rights, I think the fight to be equal has harmed our families,,,, not because of the desire to be 'treated' equally, but because of the desire to be the same there is no longer a balance, no longer roles, there is just a chaotic state where everyone does what they to (or what they NEED to) and because doing it 'on your own' is the rage and the expectation, amost parents who find they cant actually do it all do their best and hope they can fill those absences for their children with some other hopes they resource (day care, nannies, private schools, material things,,,etc,,) I think we screwed ourself, because while we were fighting to 'go to work' like men, the men were not also fighting to 'take care of kids',,,so we got stuck with TWICE as much expectation as before once you start doing something , people start EXPECTING you to do something,, and thats where we messed up,, in my opinion if there had been a joint effort to get MEN to be caretakers and providers, as well as women, than we would have better balance in our families,, now we just have women trying to do it all far too often while men stick out their chest about keeping a 'job' Hi MsHarmony, it’s nice to see you again. My take on this is that, at home the woman is the boss. Believe me, many marriages crash and men are surreptitiously murdered when female domination is resisted. That’s why it is said that; since God created woman, neither God nor man has rested. |

God created man. He made them male and female. The male should cater for his family; but the females have taken all the jobs. What chapter and verse is that exactly? I think that's from the New Modern Man's Version right? This is direct from the Bible: “So God created man in his image; in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” - Genesis 1:27 There are two versions of the Creation in the Bible; this is one of them. The second explains the fall of man and ejection from Eden. As a result of which God strips woman of her equal status and places her under male domination thus: “To the woman God said…You will be dependent on your husband and he will lord it over you.” (Genesis 3:16) Therefore, female emancipation is an aberration. :-) |

THAT is the questions of the decade! I believe Christ's got the answer to THAT question. We shouldn't restrict ourselves by setting criteria...based on the selfish desire to possess a certain kind of person. Instead, let's learn to love all of humanity. ...As long as the quest for marriage is motivated by greed and selfishness, there may be no hope for the world. |

I think the platform is good, and some of the people. it's said that women are turned on by what they hear; that's why men lie. The women here will want to hear what you've got to say. So be nice. Also Art 2(4) says: "All members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations." Res1973 is inconsistent with the peaceful purposes of the UN, Sir. It is a terrorist act. |
