Walking through all your fears instead of side stepping and ignoring them. Being able to admit and ask for help because you can't always go through life alone. Sticking by those you love when the bad times come and admitting when you hurt. |

Woody -- sorry you have to go through this, but I'm sure your HP has an awsome plan for you (especially, if you can't see that right now).
I have been sober for 16-1/2 yrs a day at a time. I hope you can understand that what happened could have been worse. Three years ago, a good friend of mine came into the rooms of AA by means of court appointment. He killed two women in a blackout and he is currently serving prison time. He does not remember any of it but he has to live with this knowledge for the rest of his life. Consider this a blessing Woody because only by the grace of God, my friend could have been you or me. You are in my prayers and best of luck to you. |

I usually turn to God, but lately He has His hands kinda full. I turn to my best friends who usually have a solution for me -- they show me the cup is half full. When they don't have a solution they listen, let me cry, and help me to get through the worst until a solution presents itself.

Whenever I start to feel down, I reflect on all the good things in my life, and it sparks me right up. I don't have alot, but I sure got it made. It's easy to take everything for granted if your not careful. I do this alot lately too. Even though I'm going through some really tough times, I do stop and pay attention to the things in my life that bring me joy -- my wonderful friends, my sobriety, some of the people here who listen and help, my pet. 2BTrue I hope you are feeling better.
