Your eyes are the windows of opportunity.
I only glance just so I can picture what lies behind them.
As I anticipate a glimmer of daylight I wonder,
I am about to embark on a journey to never ending happiness.
As we face each other our stares so intense,
I begin to loose myself as curiosity lures me in.
The window is open I don’t know which way to go.

First, I’ll engage your mind.
The words I speak so poetic and soft.
Your next feeling hinges on the way the words flow.
Caressing your mind and holding it captive,
Leaving you speechless and standing still.
My words sound rehearsed, but they are from the heart.
As I climb through the windows of opportunity.

Next, I’ll touch your soul.
This is where it all begins, the second to the last stage,
The whole existence of your being,
Fragile like glass, hard like diamonds,
You tense up to hold me back, somehow, someway
I manage to pick your lock.
You can’t fight the feeling I have entered the forbidden zone.
Many have tried, but they fell at your feet.
You knocked so many down until I came along.
I come bearing gifts, not material items but ones you can cherish.
Am I worthy to climb through the windows of opportunity?

Finally, I reach your heart ~ the final resting place.
I’ve made it to the place you said I could not go.
So many have torn down what you built up,
The walls so thick and high~ how did I reach you?

I looked into the windows first, to see what lie ahead,
