Situations like these are hard. Be upfront and honest with her. Don't put it off. I know some guys would feed their ego with this..it makes a person feel good to be needed. Sounds like she needs a friend and that can be confusing when you are in a bad relationship. It's easy to confuse needing a friend and wanting something more. Good luck.
