sex isn't a distraction. it as as you said a physical manifestation of love. it's a physical way of expressing love. sex without love and love without sex are both incomplete. obviously love for parents and others are different. that doesn't need sex. but sex part in love with your partner comes naturally. it shows complete unison. so yes it's technically possible to love without sex. but love is complete with the physical act
