What do you miss?

I miss going to the grocery store and picking up all of his favorite things.
I miss cooking. I miss serving him a good homemade meal. I miss looking out the window waiting to see him drive up after work. I miss getting the dog all excited to see him arrive. I miss hearing about his day and telling him about mine. I miss doing his laundry. I miss going fishing. I miss hugs and kisses and cuddling. I miss laying my head on his shoulder with his left arm wrapped around me holding my left hand with his right and falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeat. I just miss sleep. |

First, I'd like to echo RoamingOrator's well-worded reply to this question. I'm in the same boat. I miss the anticipation, the thought of "I'm going to get to see her in 3 hours and 17 minutes." I miss walking, holding hands, talking about anything and everything or not talking at all. Communication is about so much more than words. I miss having someone to do things for. I miss the feeling of being part of a team. I miss watching bad movies and making up absurd dialogue with her, even though it might not actually be better than what's coming from the screen. I miss the phone calls and text messages and e-mails, even the silly and pointless ones....especially the silly and pointless ones. I miss the feeling of getting up in the morning and asking myself how can I make her life a little brighter, a little more fun, today. Mostly, I miss the whole idea that there is someone out there who really cares. |

Look in the mirror

It depends on the day, sometimes I look at myself and think nobody wants me and why should they? I wear my emotions and when I feel miserable I look it. Other days, I'll catch myself smiling and think, Hey, I'm kinda cute anyone would be lucky to recieve all I have to give. So when is this lucky guy going to show up? Hope I don't miss him on a down day.

That person in the mirror is the older version of me I feel the kid in there. Even if I'm a little chubby now. A few winkle around the eyes. And a smile of the kid behind them. |

my scrawny little cat, Blue, likes to hang out with Spike the iguana. They lay together under his heat lamp and I swear I've walked in and caught them gossiping about the dog, Max.

Trying to be original

My problem is that I tend to hop into a relationship way too fast and then *think* later. I'm trying to be a grownup now and do it "right" lol! As one of my dear friends says "you fall in love quickly, and give your heart away too freely, and usually undeservedly" then I end up brokenhearted. So, I'm *trying* to change my patterns! |

I couldn't be with a picky eater. I love to cook and try new foods. I don't want to eat the same few meals over and over again because that's all he likes. And he better be able to give me a compliment when one is deserved. Twenty years ago the final straw that ended an already bad relationship was the guy telling me a fantastic dinner was "edible"

Don't lose hope. There are so many guys on here with similar complaints about women that you are bound to find one you can bond with.

Oh, 1987, the high point of my stupidity! Had dropped out of high school after being an honor roll student, (have since taken the GED test and was offered an Indiana scholarship I no longer qualified for since I had moved out of state,) and ran away to get married 16 days after I turned 18 in March, because nobody could tell me I couldn't anymore. Four days after that he beat me up for the first time. We spent a few weeks staying in a homeless shelter. He beat me once or twice a month for 8 months until I figured out he was not willing to get the help he needed and I had to leave. So I spent about a month in a women's shelter til I could get on my own feet. I ended that year a whole lot wiser than I started it. Nobody has ever hit me again and nobody will ever do it more than once.

I'm the quality auditor and group leader in a plastics factory. Mostly we make components for automotive seats, steering and airbags, and wire harness routing parts. We make interior parts of nail guns and air compressors, also light switch covers and those little rings that keep vermin from crawling up your pipes into your RV.

I did something similar with left over steak and potatoes o'brien (the ones that are diced with onions and green peppers) smoked provolone cheese and A1 sauce, now that was a great omelet!
