Hey everyone,first time poster here I must say it sounds like this person wants to have a safety net of sorts with you. She obviously has feelings for you but maybe she doesn't think your "the one" I woukd advise if you can be friends and turn off your feelings,then do it Personally I'd cut ties as hard as that might be because if it all worked out how I wanted I'd still wonder was she just settling for me and I couldn't live with that negative vibe
