well, other than the fact the guy seems to have no manners, and about as much pride, does he mistreat you in any way? And think thru the entire abuse spectrum, not just physically, before you answer that question.
If the answer is NO, then all you hafta figure out is if you want to deal with his behaviour over the long term. I also understand the effects of brain injury first hand as I used to work with people that were injured. You will never be able to "fix" him, cuz it's not necessarily a case of him just being an "ignorant slob". And that may just be the question you need to ask yourself. Do you want to spend part of your life with someone that, regardeless of how kind and sweet and loving they are, has some bad social and intellectual shortcomings that you and no amount of therapy or education can "fix"? I know a lot of women go into a relationship with the thought that, "Oh well, he has a few shortcomings but I can fix those". I can understand how it would be a lot harder to do, knowing he can't be "fixed". 
All I can say is, no matter what you decide, stay strong. And good luck, no matter what you do

Well I don't remeber cause I was quite drunk..but I guess I was quite loud at my table..telling people about how much I despised her..and couldn't stand her! My friend told me..the whole damn place heard me lol..she said yes to my father that night but a month later...she was history..i'm sorry but if I don't htink your good enough for my father..you won't be staying around..I made her life hell!
