well, what's a parent to do? I hope it works out well for them, as well as you. It might be tough for you for a while. I know you have some good friends here that care about you. sometimes it just helps to talk it through.

That does make it a little more challenging. 1000 mi is a long haul for driving. I'v gone Bozeman to Seattle straight through and thats right at 800. But its a streatch. I'm sure the day will come when one or both of mine are away :( Maybe if I can Convince them to live somewhere tropical.......

I not sure that all the litle details even matter, it's the bigger things like honesty, intergrity, unconditional love, (some others), those really matter. It's very cool when you can see your kids "get it" and become that independant person that you can really be proud of and admire.

Well done! Yah just can't hope for better. Being a dad is a great thing. I would do it better if I could have a "do-over", but that's not reallity, so I'l take what I get and make it as good as I can.

I would agree. He's a little cutie, and I'm sure you never spoil him either! As far as luck with two great kids, yup, ya never quite know how it will go, so enjoy them! I just had dinner with my 18yr old and my mom, it was our Christmas today. Life is good today!

I think that life is a series of disasters, some are spread out and others pile up, one on top of the other. I think I am finally figuring out that it all comes down to how we deal with it and react to it. don't get me wrong, there is ggod times in between to, its all in wht we choose to make it. jmho

I understand that it's pretty cool. My bro-in-law will become a gramps this spring, he's three years younger than me, and his kiddo (my niece) is only 6mo. older than my kiddo. I think I can wait a bit longer. lol

oh, I see, yah that would be a lottle odd. Had the oportuunity to visit with an old high school flame this summer, she is now a grandma, kinda odd to see your old HS crush as a grannie.
