I think it's really cool that you volunteer. Especially with kids. I know what you mean about early mornings, and long commute for no pay. I just got done teaching a class for Native youth in my community. The feeling you get from making a difference in kids lives is amazing! That's something to live for, and other people will see that spark too.
I was feeling similar to your first posting about a year ago. Once I got out into the community, the phone calls, emails, and txts have never stopped. Keep your head up bro!
