this isn't sharia law.....besides the christians punished and even murdered women for far less. if it's not happening in the US keep your nose out of it

The quran states, if your woman gets out of line, beat her into submission. If she keeps it up, for the "honor" of allah and mohammed, kill her

I really kind of like the idea of Islam is a man's religion,(cult). They give the man the power over all. Beast, family, women.

If it weren't for the fact I admire and respect women, I'd consider converting

How do you explain then, Muslim nations electing women as their leaders? United States is still struggling to elect a woman as a president like it would be a huge breakthrough, even though Hillary Clinton would have been the first, while the Muslim nations had female leaders since the 7th Century?

Female Muslim politicans today across the world:

Diah Permata Megawati Setiawati Sukarnoputri(born 23 January 1947), also known simply as Megawati, is an Indonesian politician, and leader of opposition party PDI-P

She is the 5th President of Indonesia which is a Muslim country:

Benazir Bhutto, she was the Prime Minister of Pakistan twice:

Sheikh Hasina, she is Muslim and currently the prime minister of Bangladesh, which has both Hindu and Muslim people

Tansu Penbe Çiller is an economist and politician in Turkey, which is also a Muslim nation.

Switzerland is a different country in a different continent with a different mentality and a fairly homogenous culture and tradtion.

It's been Switzerland and independent since 1291.AD from the Habsburg Empire , but the Swiss culture reaches back to 53BC during the time of the Roman Empire.

The Swiss also have an entirely different type of political system than many and they haven't been in a war for 700 years, which is impressive. They managed to stay out of both world wars as well as never participated in any armed conflict ever since.

United States, unlike Switzerland or other European countries, is a multicultural country, first occupided by Native Americans and later settlers coming from all over the world made it the way it is today.

The size of Switzerland is about the size of the state Maryland and only 7.8 million people live there calling themselves Swiss. That's less than the population of New York City, which is 10 million. They have the right to preserve their culture and tradition, due to the size and the population.

United States Population today is about 370 million people with all colors and types of people coming from everyhwere.

It is really comparing apples to oranges

You cannot stop hate with hate.

Never happened in the whole world.

The hate just got stronger and ended up as a big war, and many innocents died.

about the protest shown in the first post:

The protest was after a newspaper featured Mohammad as a guy with a bomb on his head, ready to explode, and that was done to incite the Muslim world. This was in 2006 and the riot was in 2006

Regardless, the chairman of the Muslim affairs of London condemned the riot.

Among the images which have sparked outcry is one of Muhammad with a bomb-shaped turban on his head. Newspapers in Spain, Italy, Germany and France reprinted the material.

On Saturday, Asghar Bukhari, chairman of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee, said the demonstration in London on Friday should have been stopped by police because the group had been advocating violence.

He said the protesters "did not represent British Muslims".

Mr Bukhari told the BBC News website: "The placards and chants were disgraceful and disgusting, Muslims do not feel that way.

"I condemn them without reservation, these people are less representative of Muslims than the BNP are of the British people."

He said that Muslims were angry over satirical cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad published in European papers but it was "outrageous" for anyone to advocate extreme action or violence.

"We believe it [the protest] should have been banned and the march stopped.

How anyone interpret the religious teachings depend on what the state and the nation enforces, and the general education and intelligence of the people living within. Religion can be used as a weapon or used as a peacemaker.

The only way to change is peaceful ways, such as educating as many as possible and allowing as much as possible information given to the public without restrictions.

Level of intelligence is the deal breaker, low education can turn anyone into an extremist, regardless of which religion we are talking about and it's clearly obvious, no matter where you go.

Have peace upon all of you!
