I kinda figured that out after his response to my post.

you're not "foolish" for expecting this from anyone else, but these "new faces" you speak of. Again, I question your ability to judge. Particularly in view of the fact you've stated that you personally are a better person. That just strikes me as a little high minded and judgmental of others. |

Nope

haha. i'm not running for anything sir. Exactly. But you inferred that you would not be influenced if you were, but that we are foolish for expecting any one else to have the same moral courage. That's all I was pointing out. |

Seems the Democrats should have taken the Tea party more seriously.Who can blame them though.CNN and MSNBC just spent all their time calling the Tea party people a bunch of idiots who couldn't do anything. I am having the last laugh now watching America turn from blue to red. i think it was racist, not idiots.... Maybe you should attend a few tea party meetings before you level that kind of accusation. Mindless chatter |
And I asked if you would be influenced if you were one of the newly elected.

when in the world did i say that. I thought you said it was funny that anyone would expect to elect a leader who would not be influenced by the lobbyists. |
never. which is why i shall be president some day. (: I see. So you're saying your morals are beyond reproach, but no one else can hope to attain that level of integrity? |
i find it funny that you're hoping people will not be influenced by lobbyists. that will nevvvvvvvvver happen. Would you sell yourself out if the price was right? |

This is true. I was referring more to some of these new faces not getting corrupted by the lobbyists and bribery that are so prevalent in DC. It takes an individual with strong convictions to resist the influences they will face. haaaaaaaaaa. this is hilarious. Is it? I find humor in damn near anything. Frequently laugh at myself. Somehow I find it less than funny that men and women we elect into office to represent our views seem to forget who they work for after spending some time in our nation's capital. |

I'm happy about this victory as well. Now they damn well better do something to turn the country around. We don't need more sell outs in DC.

1. Pull your pants up. You look like an idiot. 2. Turn your cap right, your head ain't crooked. 3. Let's get this straight: it's called a 'gravel road.' I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you're gonna get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way. 4. They are cattle. That's why they smell like cattle. They smell like money to us. Get over it. Don't like it? I-10 & I-40 go east and west, I-17 & I-15 goes north and south. Pick one and go. 5. So you have a $60,000 car. We're impressed. We have $250,000 Combines that are driven only 3 weeks a year. 6. Every person in the Wild West waves. It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept. 7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of geese/pheasants/ducks/doves are comin' in during a hunt, we WILL shoot it outta your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time. 8. Yeah. We eat trout, salmon, deer and elk. You really want sushi and caviar? It's available at the corner bait shop. 9. The 'Opener' refers to the first day of deer season. It's a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November. 10. We open doors for women. That's applied to all women, regardless of age. 11. No, there's no 'vegetarian special' on the menu. Order steak, or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham and turkey. 12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup! Oh, yeah ... We don't care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat ... IT AIN'T REAL CHILI!! 13. You bring 'Coke' into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. You bring 'Mary Jane' into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair. 14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Giants, the Yankees, the Mets, the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch. 15. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards - it spooks the fish. 16. Turn down that blasted car stereo! That thumpity-thump ain't music, anyway. We don't want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers! Refer back to #1! |

I'm Tired!
I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.
I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money. I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China , the crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran , and the freedom of speech of Venezuela . I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to. I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois. I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government. I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance. I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough. I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana. I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need. I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British, Canadian and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear. I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois , where the " Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet. I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor. Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing. I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems. |

Yes she is. Inspite of the media spin and viscous attacks on her she has maintained her composure and stayed the course. It just amazes me that the American people are so spellbound by these liberal career politicians that they continue to hold the senate seats they have. Barney Frank is a typical example of the slime balls dominating the senate. I love how the left can't attack her on the issues because she is solid but will attack her for having a one night stand(really? 99.9% of the population has had one or two) or something she did in high school by experimenting a little(who didn't, oh wait that right Bill Clinton didn't because he didn't inhale ) Exactly. What gullible imbecile believed that ****? Seems the left does little more than attack anymore, seeing as they can't campaign on their record. Hell, they are all running from it. This is what frustrates me. It makes me wonder how some of the New England blue bloods have been able to achieve the level of success that some of them enjoy. How can you be so unintelligent in your choices of leadership and have any business savvy or wisdom in other arenas of life? |

who does the polls, id vote for obama again Considering that the polls are taken of those who have landlines, which is usually an older crowd it makes sense that the polls would be skewed all the time. I would vote for him again if he would be willing to run again. After all the ignorance he has had to deal with from some of the people in this country it would surprise me if he wanted to run again. Now if we get a candidate with most of Obama's principles and who is tougher on gun control, has or shows no religion while in office, is more understanding of the gay equal rights, etc I would rather vote for them. The polls are nice but I think a clear indication of where Mr. Obama is heading will present itself after the election tomorrow. Pack your bags liberals, the tea party is coming Washington! Ummmm, I have been polled on my cell phone and I have also been push polled on my cell phone. Polls are nice but I think we'll have a clear indication of where Mr. Obama is heading after the election tomorrow. Pack your bags liberals. The tea party is coming to Washington! |
