evening everyoneflowerforyou got bad news today.. son in laws mother passed away.. she had surgery last week to remove a tumor in her colon but her heart gave out today..

Is anyone beside Oklahoma getting snow. The ground was white when I got up & it snowed all day. Suposed to do it again Thurs & Fri & 2 more chances next week, and the long term forecast says we will get up to a foot at some point between now and the end of Feb. I need to move to a tropical Island.shades



Where in OK are you? Just wondering....I have a good friend in Tulsa, but haven't had a chance to talk with her.


This is an unusual winter, with records being set all over the country.
We will return to normal next year, and will probably tell stories about this one for at least a decade, if not two....

getting much snow there Jan?


We got 6 inches end of last week, and another 2 last night...

quite tolerable after what we had last month...

I believe our total for the season is now right at 50 inches.

Just a few short weeks and it will all be a distant memory...laugh laugh laugh

Hi Everyone. I'm watching the SuperBowl--The Who halftime show is lousy!!!



I haven't been watching...but just tuned in, hoping to see a commercial....but happened to just catch the half-time show...


I used to really like the Who....but they look like a group of pitiful old men....and if I think that....I can just imagine what the younger generation thinks....frustrated sad slaphead

I do when I raise a garden and have lots of tomatoes and peppers. We call it salsa here also.

Awww so sounds good.What queso then ?
Queso is with cheese. Do you put celantro in your salsa might me what your missing.


celantro sucks!! authentic mexican food doesn't use it.



Cilanto is quite popular in "mexican" foods in this part of the country. I haven't been to the authentic restaurants, so I don't know what they do. (Yes we have them, because there is a large hispanic community here.)
In my household, cilantro is used in most of our pseudo-mexican entrees...
