British TV

I am a fan of Downton Abby, Doctor Who, Being Human (first couple of seasons), and Sherlock (starring Cumberbatch). I am sure if I tried to think of a few others I would have a longer list. What is your favorite British television show? Is it the acting, the story line, the different feel to the production, or all the above or something else? My favorite British TV show is "Call The Midwife". It is so interesting to me. They've touched on birth control & how the Church was not tolerant, & the Thalidomide that caused so many birth defects & why the women took it. I could relate to the constant morning sickness that lasted all day & every time you would eat it would come back up. Anyway, that is mine. Only problem at first was trying to understand what they were saying so I turned on the CC. |

Recently, boating on Lake Havasu & up the Colorado River with my brother, sis-in-law, & friends. Had the best time. We would stop several times because it was so hot & swim for awhile in the River & load up & move on to Topock, CA.

I have to agree with you Jay. You can usually tell because it's like their sentence structure is so phony. Evidently English is their 2nd language.
