Just curious to see if anyone (or people) have ever set up a singles
mixer in their local area? And if so how'd it turn out? Unfortunately
for me I live an hour and a half North of Los Angeles so it's hard to
out to the "big" city...lol.

I'm finding it extremely difficult to find anyone in my exact area

To Jess,
re:I don't agree with your last statement teacher...

Yes I understand that I am obligated to be another "set of eyes" and
that I could be the ONE person to help a child... I was making that
statement because teachers are having to take on more and more
responsiblilty that SHOULD be the PARENTS responsibility...

In addition to reporting neglect, abuse, etc. You would NOT believe the
pressure a teacher has these days!!!!!!!!

We basically have 3 jobs now, #1- teacher, #2-supplemental parent and #3
social worker!!! Honestly what has society become for this need?????

Stuff like this sucks for me being a teacher though... by LAW I am
required to report ANY and ALL signs of malnutrition, abuse or
neglect....

ah, again the teacher is responsible for all...

Exactly... many of our parents were young, so they probably were not
following a healthy vegan diet... but it was quite sad because I did
bring it up to a couple of parents and they said they knew what was
best...

I sure hope to God, someone with more knowledge helped them get a
balanced/nutritional vegan diet going....

Yeah there definately needs to be a screening process for
breeding...lol.

While I lived in Humboldt County, CA (lots of "hippies"), I worked at a
preschool. During the year I worked there I definately noticed a
diference in health between kids who ate "normal" and those who were
vegan... vegan kids were toward the bottom of the percentile in weight,
and seemed to be sick a lot more than those who were not vegans...

Now, I'm not saying this is true everywhere... it's just my observations
as a teacher in a specific area.

Yeah my dad's working right near the one in Griffth Park (down in LA) so
he keeps me informed. Stupid people wouldn't leave their homes though!
Shows you how materialistic some people can be, your life vs you
personal objects! Duh!
