I had an MRI done on my spine for scoliosis. The biggest surprise is that it was an hour and a half long; it was my first MRI and many people had told me MRI's only take like 20 minutes. I'm slightly claustrophic so it wasn't the greatest experience of my life, but it wasn't too bad. I think it's just like any other MRI - just longer. Good Luck.
