Eric Clapton

Yeah! Haven't listened to that in ages. I think it's one of the best examples of E.C.'s sound from that time. glasses
Another great one off "Journeyman": "Pretending" <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm2PvnM7Vds>
(Do I need a minimum number of posts to add hyperlinks? I don't see any controls for bold, italic, etc. either.)

Everyone posting here so far has great taste in music.

alright junior mint why don't ya tell me what the attraction is with an older woman anyhow
Heh; according to a recent news report, "all" guys are looking for twenty-somethings. Early twenty-somethings at that.
Apparently I'm in some kind of minority; ain't that special? bigsmile

The "Junior Mint" part is classic. Can I nominate that for Best Reply of the Week? laugh

that is a line from a song from one of the local maine bands called the halfmoon jug band
Oh, okay; good stuff. glasses
"Spud" is probably easier to rhyme something with than "potato" or "potatoes." (Thinking of Martin Mull's song "Normal," with the line about "just some lettuce and tomatoes.").
For that matter, it ain't easy to rhyme anything with "blueberries" or "lobster," either. bigsmile

Some men just look at the photos; they're reading-impaired, horntoads, or both.
But as has been said here more than once, real men read profiles. How else are you gonna know if there could be a real connection?

And some ladies write some pretty funny stuff. I don't mean that in a deprecating way; I mean that they show a good sense of humor. One I read today from Kittenbritches here in Maine was a good example. Okay, I noticed her photo first (hey, men are wired as visual creatures), but I _did_ read the entire profile.

And another thing: "Columbus didn't need directions, and neither do I." bigsmile

Wow; great sound for a "parlour" size. I'm listening to the YouTube demo from 2011, with Paul Brett playing both the 6- and 12-string models. Are those still only available in the U.K.?

I've still got the old Yamaha acoustic (with a sound hole pickup) that was my first "real" guitar, and my only axe for many years. In 2005, I added a Jay Turser Hawk-12 solid-body electric, and not long ago, a Fender Villager.

I really need to work on fingerstyle playing.

Have fun with your new Vintage VE8000PB-12. glasses

"Land of the Rising Spud." Haven't heard that one before. Hey, it ain't just taters, y'know. We got blueberries 'n' lobstahs, too. laugh

Anyway, this state is huge, or at least it's tough to get anywhere from anywhere, particularly if you live on one of the peninsulas, like I do. Unless you can hop in the boat and motor on over to an adjacent town, you gotta drive north to find Rt. 1 or another major road, and then go wherever you needed/wanted to go. "You can't get theah from heah." bigsmile

I think Augusta is part of Central Maine. I usually only go there when I have to go to Togus. Can't recall the last time I went to L-A. (Not to be confused with L.A. [where Hollyweird is] or LA [where N.O. is].)

Bumped the topic up, anyway.
