From Darkness to Light
There was Darkness engulfing me. I only knew despair. I was without Hope. A Cry I was walking without strength A weakness of my Body and Spirit I cried, I screamed out for help in my Despair Hope A pinpoint of Light in my darkness I slowly drag myself towards the light A Claw & A Hand I was pulling myself towards the light A hand thrust from the Light and with my last bit of strength I grasped the Hand I felt a cold Claw grip my ankle and Felt a vile evil run through my body A Pull & A Scream I felt the war going on within my Soul, I didn’t understand. I wouldn’t give up my hold on the Hand but, The Claw wouldn’t let me go! Then a quick put gentle pull from the Hand And I was in the Light. I heard a scream that turned my blood cold A Man A man was holding my hand. An Average man. He taught me to walk within the Light Love As my strength grew, He taught me how to Love. How to show others how to Love, To Love with Blind eyes A Departure I am now helping others out of their Darkness To walk in the Light and to Love I must be leaving you now For others have need of me A Question Sir, I asked, I don’t even know your name. Please Sir, Please tell me who you are An Answer My Father 7 I have had our eyes upon you for a long time We couldn’t help you until you cried out for our help Now you must help others as I have helped you Sir, I don’t understand, Please give me your name. A Single tear rolled down His face as hole began to appear in His Hands & Feet. Do you not know who I am I am Jesus Christ, a simple carpenter’s son |

When I realize a 5 minute phone conversation erases an entire ****ty day of sadness. When I start writing poetry in my head, over the little things he does. When I want to draw him.  Do you smile and put on a good face around your friends even when you are in pain to avoid burdening them with your problems?
Always... but there are a couple friends, who know me too well... and they will notice if my smile or happiness is genuine or not. Then of course, they are going to try and find out what is going on. I love those guys...  Can't fool them...

Had so much going on in their life that they just kinda "shut down"? Block out important people in your life and kinda hide away for awhile? If so... why? and what did you do to get out of it? Yes I just did that a bit ago. I just did a lot of hiking in the hills and concentrated on things that helped me feel better about myself. I also did some praying as well. |
