I get a fair number of message with very little or no punctuation. Next! Maybe not necessarily scammers, but lazy and sloppy. Messaging from your phone is no excuse. Put in a double space, and it puts in a period for you.

Run-on sentences, inability to use capital letters, lack of understanding how apostrophes work, periods used as commas, and messages filled with internet shorthand. Sorry, I spent YEARS studying English, and Literature. You can’t tell me that none of it is important. You’re an adult. Supposedly an intelligent adult. Write like one. We all make typos, but if you keep doing the same thing, it’s not a typo.

Jarring is something sudden, and startling. It leaves you feeling kind of rattled. Grating is something that gets on your nerves, and bothers you a lot. It’s not sudden, or startilng, but it can still make you cringe.
