I am a Muslim atheist, true, sounds confusing? I am considered a Muslim, by mostly everyone. And also bored, this is the least controversial topic I could think of /:) isn't muslim a religion? so you pray to a god you don't believe in? and watch out, your buddies will chop your head off for saying that... You need credible sources /:) but that's basically what the movies tell ya credible sources, huh... no matter, it's not my head they will be after, credible or not... i guess thats why muslim run countries have a less than 10% rate for any other religion, because they are so tolerant... but i'm sure they will be very receptive of your beliefs, just like they were in France a few weeks ago...
I am not religious, but I studied many religions. So am not gonna argue, I have one advice for you: there is a chance that someone else made that opinion for you, so read history, read sociology, read translation of religions. Any of those would do, reading a recent article is not enough. But you're obviously not here to try to understand sth, you want to make a statement, regardless of that statement being yours or not. Or don't, either way, it's up to you. lol, nice try... so you are either not informed, or taking offense at my statement... either way, it means little to me... i'm not talking bad about your religious ties, even tho you say your atheist, i have a feeling your not as atheist as you think...i'm just pointing out facts, whether you see them as facts or not... Nah, I always disagree with people when it comes to religion, I guess it's a thing /:) it doesn't matter which religion you can talk badly about, I have a tendency to defend it, I guess it might be because the time I've invested in understanding them. Maybe. sorry you think i'm talking badly about muslim religion, but sometimes the truth hurts.. Haha I know you're convinced, that's why I find arguing pointless, but at least you said sorry. (Small Correction) I believe Deucdaaa meant the word, 'persecuted' and not 'prosecuted' on his thread before last. Oh haha I meant prosecuted by law, I was referring to incidents where an individual commits a crime in the name of religion, like killing a homosexual, they are they are treated as criminals |

Or don't, either way, it's up to you. what Mightymoe said was true , i don't realize what objection do you have against his post , for example defecting from Islam will get you killed if you don't be Muslim back in 3 days , what a freedom of thinking ! I don't like explaining religion that deep. But I'll go ahead and try. First one beheading: it's a religious extremist tendency, not everyone is an extremist, in fact, a very known small percentage of people who consider themselves Muslims are extremist, they're mostly called terrorists. Extreme actions might be made by people who are not extremist, but very stupid, and they are prosecuted. Second the 10% there is a long history to it, it didn't just happen overnight. It's my opinion however, perhaps if you study the same sources I have you might make a different conclusion, but to me, it really makes sense why there is a majority of Muslims in their known countries, a couple of factors involved. The reason I didn't like his statement is because I don't believe it's his, I believe it's the product of movies and biased media. |

Okay deucedaaa, The assumption here is You've inherited Your 'status' as a Muslim from family. I once met a fellow from Israel that said he was an Atheist too, but he was in the habit of calling himself Jewish. He was indignant that that 'status' was inherited as well. I said, "Why don't You just call yourself a Hebrew National?" "After all, being Jewish implies religious conviction, but You don't have any... So, go with saying You're Hebrew!" He liked that, because it was truer to 'who-he-was.' I'm going to assume, You've got family that would be indignant that You profess to be an Atheist, as well... Right? This is the oldest story on the planet... You'll just have to pick-n-chose whom You want to know about Your convictions. My own eldest son is an Atheist, and I respect that he should have his own life that doesn't include me, and visa-versa. I am very thankful for your time and consideration! I honestly never thought a person with a religious conviction could take that stance, at heart, however, I honestly appreciate your comment and felt very proud to read it. |

I think that people who waste family time on social media, probably would have wasted the family time over something else if their phones didn't exist I think you might be on to something Deuce :-))...Our "gadgets" are like anything else, in the right hands a positive, in the wrong hands a negative...I think the biggest danger lies with kids, especially teens...Unmonitored apps, texts and pictures can be the gateway to hell for them and their parents...Sexually explicit content, abusive language, photos that disappear in ten seconds flat, private messages that only a select group can access, bullying...The list goes on...And just how much time and effort can concerned parents devote to monitoring?...It's complicated for sure...Sometimes it feels like the price we pay to STAY CONNECTED to a select group represents a major DISCONNECT with everything else... 
Yeah, you're right.teenagers are exposed to make these mistakes, serious matter! On the other extreme of thought, it just might be start for change, for society to not take these things *** seriously, focus more on quality of performance rather than their reputation /:) maybe  Wasn't perving, but wanted learn your age! ...From your answers, I figured you were young :-)...This brings up another good point, which is how age reflects in our answers and comments...I love hearing your take because it is the younger generation who has ultimate control of the outcome, be it good or bad...The younger generation sees it as positives FAR outweighing negatives and that is a very good thing.... That's very nice of you to say, but I won't be what represent my generation, Many people around my age disagree with a lot of things /:) |
