DavidCommaGeek...I totally agree regarding your reference to at least one good paragraph.
It shows whether the person can spell and use grammar and punctuation correctly, although I don't get to hung up if they can get their punctuation wrong, for instance...I kinda like sentences of the 21st century...that kinda go like this...
