My name is Tom. I love music more than anything else in the world, and I've played more instruments than I can count on one hand. Right now, I mostly play guitar and make a little bit of electronic music on some software on the computer. I'm not very good, but I love doing it. It keeps me sane. I spend a lot of time thinking, about everything from humanity and why we're here to odd pointless things like who would win in a fight between Barney the Dinosaur and Mister Rogers. There's always something running through my mind, and I rarely ever get a moment of peace in my own head. It's a pretty chaotic place. Right now I'm working a lame job to save up money before I start school. I'm looking to find some recording and music technology cles so I can learn to do what I love the professional way. Even if I never go anywhere with my own music, I'd gladly be the guy at the board mixing someone else's. Coffee and cigarettes make life worth living. I don't think I'd make it without them. I'm very laid back and easygoing. It takes a lot to bother me, and I get along with pretty much anyone. Life is too short to be serious all the time, and I love to laugh. I have a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor that's pretty much my fallback when bad things happen. It's a lot easier to handle stress when you're too busy laughing at it to worry. I find beauty in everything. Life's just bursting with tiny miracles. Lots of people miss the small things when caught up in the rush of day to day life, but I always try to see the little hidden wonders that are constantly taking place around us. I listen to just about any kind of music. It's a big part of me, nothing has ever effected me in the way that a good song has. If I like what I hear, it's mine forever. I'm incredibly disorganized. I rarely plan for anything. My life sort of just happens, and I think I like it better that way. It's nice to be able to just be and get by. I've always been very true to myself. Too many people try and be a person that they're not, and I've never seen the point of trying to be anything other than who I am. I respect people who aren't afraid to be "different". I am on a constant quest for knowledge. I'm always looking things up and researching this or that. I sometimes catch myself awake at 2 am surfing through Wikipedia. Basically, I soak up pointless knowledge like a sponge. I know a little bit of everything, really. I've always loved to discover new things. I enjoy spending time outdoors. Last summer I sailed for the first time and fell in love with it. I crewed a boat three nights a week for races, and honestly I have never done anything else that is both relaxing and intense at the same time before I started sailing. It's cool. I love fishing and camping, and you could probably toss me into the backwoods of Michigan with a shovel and an axe and I'd survive well enough. Sometimes when I'm alone, I dance around in my underwear. If you'd like to know more, don't hesitate to ask me yourself. I'm a very open person, and I love to meet new people.
