You don't have to be able to knock me over with your intellect, you don't have to be able to an Iron Chef champion, and you don't need to be a movie star. I'm not looking for somebody to stay up all night with me debating neurobiology, I'm looking for somebody who can make me forget everything that happened that day with a kiss. What can I say, I'm a consummate Taurus, and I need someone in my pen to spoil and protect. I know how straight-laced I can look (an illusion that ten minutes with me can cure), but trust me, I can see the beauty in anything. I'm told I'm a great listener, because I love to hear people's stories. I don't feel the need to be saying something all the time, and I don't simply wait in a conversation for my turn to speak. I like to hear what people are saying, catch what they avoid saying, and find out what really drives them. I'm loyal, affectionate, and I believe that honesty still counts for something. I know how to keep a disgreement from becoming a fight, and though I love to think things through, I make sure that every now and then, I do something completely retarded just for the fun of it. What drives me is making people smile. It can be by making people laugh (I do a lot of that), by getting the door for people, letting them in on the freeway when they're desperately trying to merge, or by spotting them a few bucks for dinner when they find themselves short. That end-of-the-day feeling is something I don't know that I can live without, that warm, fuzzy little feeling of knowing that I'm making my tiny little bit of the world just a tiny little bit more pleasant to be in. And if you're wondering why I'm not smiling enough in these photos, well...it's because you're not here. I don't belong to a gym now (sit-ups and push-ups are still free to do anywhere), but if I had someone who could give me a run for my money, that's where I'd be.
