Native North Carolinian, adopted New York City and then Greenwich and Stamford, CT. Long-divorced, work history in foreign languages, office work, computer programming, private piano/vocal teaching and musical composition/performance. I like medicine, real estate, law and investments.
No smoking, drinking or drugs, please. Any one of those is a deal-breaker. Well, maybe the rare social drink. If you're not a born-and-bred American citizen, I'm not interested (been there, done that). I've lived abroad, traveled a bit, and speak Spanish and French (some German, dabbled in a few other languages), but I'm not a "citizen of the world." I'm a citizen of the U.S.A. who enjoys the best of the rest of the world.
I love healthy food and exercise (with occasional normal lapses).
Spiritually, I have journeyed away from and back to Christianity, which forms much of my thinking. I have come to appreciate teaching the basics of spiritual self-knowledge and transformation.
I'm not looking for a house-husband, but I hope the man of the house will know how to cook and clean. If finances allow it, a cleaning service can make a lot of sense.
I love to communicate. I think independently and try to avoid using cliches as a crutch for a broken brain. I'm not a comic, but I love to laugh. I detest yelling if the house is not on fire ("don't raise your voice, improve your argument"). I'd rather be with someone whose English is native and fluent. Most of all, I want to be with a man who is healthily goal-oriented while being fluent in compion.
I want privacy and time alone, but also time together with everyone at home, and I want to enjoy touching and being in the presence of the man I love.
