I'll be moving to London in January. I'm American, taking a job abroad (for the second time)and already realizing how difficult it will be to meet anyone! London is fantastic, but not so much fun alone! I haven't lived there for over ten years and would love to meet someone interested in dining out, concerts, theater, opera, festivals, galleries,trying single malt whiskies, and attending weird, unique London things. I love sport (American football and baseball), although haven't yet become pionate about cricket, because I'm not going to sit there while someone breaks for tea. I don't have a good grasp yet on Euro-football either, but I'm up for trying. I love dogs, and since I can't have one of my own anymore, I stop people in the streets who are walking their dogs and ask to pet it--thereby embarring whomever I am with. I like to laugh and joke--probably too much. I probably should be more serious, but there you are. I think it's a quality that endears me to others while sometimes also making them roll their eyes in despair. I grew up with four older brothers and learned the fine art of fun-loving sarcasm. I am also unapologetically Catholic and while I don't wear it on my sleeve it's the foundation of who I am--virtues and values, ethics, intellect, treatment of people and it even influences my cultural and social tastes and likes.
