Member of MENSA with masters in Library Science and bachelors in Poetics (and Biomedicine), fun and high energy guy, need to lose 40 to 50 pounds on a proper eating regimen and firm up, do like to walk, bike, swim, hike, play sports, do yoga or will try pilates but don't make the time regularly enough (lots of fits and starts), could be talked into dance cles, pet owner with five adult cats (three of which are up in age), former zookeeper, college English professor, rock music writer for CREEM Magazine; (occasionally) working actor (they keep saying more work is coming, but...), writer with great commercial potential, musician, amateur photographer, estate/garage saler and reseller, like the outdoors, gardening okay in small doses, would love to travel one day, working with Michigan Works to return to school on the State's dime for some thing in the medical field, like to touch and be touched normally, like sex but not being presured for it all the time (sowed some oats in the day). Would do best with a laid-back but energetic person with a good stable income (since mine in most definitely streaky) and nice smile and sense of humor, who loves the arts and animals. Look, let's not kid ourselves -- I know what this looks like to you: "Here's a ne'er-do-well bohemian guy who just can't grow up, Peter Pan type, blah blah" -- well, I do respect innovative, fun and civi-minded businessmen (Sir Richard Branson, Paul Newman, the Ben & Jerry guys before they sold), and do have some business sense. I made a mistake 15 years ago with horse betting that has caused me to have something on my record, which I am trying to expunge, and that has definitely made it harder since. I do have a great (if not very well off) family, a lot of friends and acquaintances who are worth your getting to know, and so on -- I just need that one break I've never seemed to have been thusfar able to manifest (even though I do know, and truly believe in, "The Secret") -- I'm not looking for a meal ticket, but rather a "helpmeet" whose natural stability counters my own more chimerical nature (although I am a very even-keel type of person in terms of my personality -- naturally optimistic and upbeat). I'm naturally cleaner and more organized, but do tend toward clutter (books, magazines, news articles, etc.), which goes with the librarian thing. I have a lot of interesting belongings we could go through together too. If you're the right type of person, I wouldn't worry about your kids, your exes, etc, because they're probably great people just like you are. I hope we get to meet someday.
