American who has lived in 11 countries, over educated, multilingual, dedicated to the sciences while remaining sociable and open to new experiences. I am currently building a farm and agricultural research center in Chile in a place that reminds me of the Mid West US in the 50' 60's, with a climate like Napa Valley, without the hyped wines...this is also wine country. Why am I here? I miss good conversation in English (any topic EXCEPT soap operas, spectator sports, ex spouses and grand kids - well kids can be an exception if I can talk to them). I did, and love it. People actually admire and look up to Gringos and are curious about life outside of Chile, a welcome change from a bored "have a good day" from the cashier in your local coffee shop.
