But if you like a cultured niceguy who will hold an intelligent conversation and the door for you, maybe we got something to talk about ;-) I've been told that I'm a sweet and attentive person. However, nice guy ≠ doormat! :-p Mutual respect if all I ask. I'm a little shy around strangers, and tend to be quiet and reserved at large social gatherings, but quickly open up one-on-one or in small groups. I'm a huge movie junkie, so hopefully you are too. I've probably seen well over a thousand movies so far. I'm into a lot of "girly" things, like "chick flicks" (Mean Girls, Princess Diaries), "chick music" (Sarah McLachlan), and prime time soap operas. What? They have hot girls in them! But I like a lot "stupid boy stuff" too, like military history and pro-wrestling. That's gemini for ya. I also have a love for foreign languages, esp. German (minored in it in college). Sprichst du Deutsch? I should also mention somewhere that my politics are left-leaning, but recent events have caused me to question traditional loyalties. Keeping up with politics interests me. I also enjoy cooking. It began out of the necessity to survive in college, but has gradually developed into a full-blown hobby. I like to play around with Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and Italian cuisine. I am currently a medical student at the University of Cincinnati, hoping to go into OB/GYN. I am originally from California and grew up in Los Angeles. I attended UC Berkeley for undergrad (Go Bears!) and worked as an ambulance EMT in East L.A. for a year after college. Not quite sure how I ended up here in the Nasti Nati, but you never know where life takes you! It's been a bit of a culture shock, but I guess I'm having my great Midwest adventure right now, come keep me company ;-) I'm looking for an honest person who doesn't like to play those "guess why I'm mad at you today" games. I'd love to meet an active, energetic, take-charge kind of girl who isn't afraid to show some initiative, whether in conversation, in asking someone out, in a relationship, or in the bedroom. Someone who's comfortable in her own skin, at peace with who she is, and is not terrified by her own sexuality. I really can't take the timid, submissive, pive, "speaks only when spoken to", 19th century Asian housewife types. I know a lot of guys would kill for that, but potential Chauvinist "power trip" is completely wasted on me. On the other hand, I do have an appreciation for "external" femininity, so some outward girliness is always nice (viz. dress-wearing, long fragrant hair, that type of thing). All that aside, as long as you're an honest, kind person, just about anything is negotiable. I mean, what do I know about what I like? :-D You might surprise me.
