I like talking to people from all over the world. I gain new insight and perspective from it.
I love to travel and immerse myself in different cultures. Places I've been so far: Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, El Salvador, China, Taiwan, Macau, Canada and plan on seeing many more places.
I love language. I used to be fluent in four different dialects of Chinese, back when I spent something around 4 years total, travelling around in China. It's been so long since I've spoken the language that sadly, I've forgotten most of it. I taught myself Portuguese at one point years ago for a job that I had.
I love art. I used to draw 24/7 if I wasn't playing my guitar. I've recently found a renewed interest in drawing. Don't ask to see any of my work and expect it on the spot. I'm my own worst critic. If it isn't good to me, no one sees it. There's people out there that have my stuff framed on their walls. I don't want to let those people down. My heart is in to it again so I'm finally busting out my pencils and charcoal again.
I play the guitar. I own an Ibanez electric 6 string that I slapped a 7th string on, a 6 string ESP LTD with EMG humbuckers (sadly no Floyd Rose on it) and a Greg Bennet acoustic (my pride and joy). I play the b as well but I do not own one yet. I've taught people how to play so they let me jam on their bes when ever I get the urge to do so.
I love all different genres of music. I can't limit myself to one and can't understand people that do.
I like rock, heavy metal, rap, clical, electronica and industrial. If it speaks to me I'll listen to it. If you can't speak to someone because of their taste in music, you seriously need to re-evaluate yourself.
I love the outdoors. I like going camping. Not the pre-made rent-a-lot camping. That **** is so ****ing lame. I like going out to random places deep in the woods and setting up camp. I love the last minute scramble for fire wood and the satisfaction I get from roughing it. There's nothing quite like laying down to relax with the Milky Way right above you looking clear as day and waking up at the butt-crack of dawn with the rest of mother nature.
I love hiking through trails in the woods. All the fresh air, peace and quiet. Sometimes you just have to slow down and take in the beauty that's all around you and not take so much for granted.
