I'm not too sure about this online dating thing yet... But how else do you meet new people in this day and age? I like to think of myself as a good man. I am, by nature, a nice guy. I'm polite, friendly, loyal, honest, a bit old fashioned and a hopeless romantic. I'm the type who will leave silly little love poems for no reason. I consider myself intelligent (book knowledge and street smarts) and can carry on a conversation all night if the topic warrants it, but at the same time I can be goofy and make people laugh. I can be very talkative once I've warmed up to someone and quite silly, sarcastic and witty. I'm a photographer and I take pictures of anything that catches my eye. I'm also an artist who will work in any medium that brings my idea to life, be it painting, drawing, sculpting, writing, music, etc. I like to keep myself busy with different projects, but I also like to just relax and watch movies or visit with friends or family. I'm very close to my family and very thankful that I have such great, supportive, and fun people in my life. I like most kinds of music, but I'm definitely a clic rock kind of guy. I also like most kinds of movies from horror, sci-fi, and action to comedy, drama, rom-coms and old clics. I'm a bit of a history junky and I love learning new things. If something interests me, I'll study all about it. And if there's something I want to do, I figure it out and I do it. As a result, I can write, draw, paint, do leather work, build furniture and a myriad other things... and I'm pretty handy around the house too. I have three cats, Garbo, Stir-fry and Father Dougal McGuire. I love animals. All three of my cats were rescues. I've never been married, I have no children and no crazy exes, which means I'm drama free. I rarely drink and I don't do drugs, so I have that going for me. And I refuse to play games. It annoys me when others do it, so why would I? I like watching the world around me and I'm interested in people. There is a lot to be learned from other people, so I'm always curious to hear their stories. As far as my "type", I don't know if I could narrow that down. I want someone to inspire me, challenge me and laugh with me. Someone who likes to go out and do things but also likes to stay home, talk or cuddle and watch a movie. I'm a very affectionate person and not afraid to show it. I want someone I find beautiful. Someone who can melt me with a look. I want to get lost in someone's eyes. I want to look forward to waking up in the morning or getting home in the evening. Remember: Our similarities make it fun, our differences make it interesting.
