About me? I'm direct, honest and open; I'm not into coy or vague. And just so you know, I am in a wheelchair. You can see it in the pictures. I split my time between Vancouver and Calgary.
I am a retired professional who likes good company. I like to have fun, whether it is a nice dinner out, or an evening at home where I cook. I’m good at getting a conversation started and keeping it interesting. I like to laugh and to make others laugh too.
Having a variety of interests help – I’m involved in a compeive trivia group, make my own wine, read a lot of historical fiction… the list goes on and on. I’m a bit of a philosopher too, but that comes with age, doesn’t it? Oh, and I write; mostly prose including a daily blog along with poetry.
I am really an extrovert; it is not unusual for me to have people over or to be out with friends. On the other hand I know how to look inward and I see myself clearly. Like the Beatles said, "Boy, you’re gonna carry that weight a long time." I’m gonna turn my baggage into a carry-on so that I can lose it on a plane to the middle of nowhere.
So if you are an adventuress who is also comfortable staying home and watching the hockey game; someone for whom good conversation and good company is important; if you can be a friend who is kind and easy-going; if you are the kind of person who can be there when you say you will be there, and can as easily let me know when you won't be there; if you can be who you are and love it, then you should send me a message.
