Yes, I am a 38 year old grandmother. I have a wonderful daughter, whom I raised on my own. Through all the sacrifices, I feel that it is my turn to unleash on life now. I am a drama free person...not to say that I don't encounter the problems that life sometimes throws at everyone. But, I certainly don't go looking for problems, and would like to find someone that tends to do the same. I like calm, happy times and have been called a home-body...but, this does not mean that I don't like to go out and have some fun...for sure. I am not a jealous person...I feel that people have this emotion because of something that they feel is lacking in themselves...and that they should look to change this in their self and not turn their anger to someone on the outside. Not being jealous seems to bother some that I have dated...this is also something that I am not looking for. I feel it is a waste of time to gain attention by trying to make me jealous. If you are not secure in yourself, don't bother trying to make me feel insecure...I don't have the time. I have been told (on more then one occasion) that I tend to think like a guy. I believe that this trait helped me in raising my daughter, as I had to be both "mom and dad". This is also a trait that my daughter inherited from me. So, when we talk and joke around..."we" are always on the same page...even when others are not. I am looking forward to this new year and watching my granddaughter grow and cherishing each smile she throws my way.
