The hardest thing in the world is trying to describe your self to complete strangers, so here is what I’ve got: my philosophy (about me) is rather simple - I am not defined by what I have done, but by what I have yet to do. I love the simple things in life; a kiss on the cheek, a wink from across a room, hearing a child giggle, a soft touch, an unexpected phone call, a candlelight dinner at home, slow dancing in the living room to the stereo, fall fairs, and reading together or not having to say anything at all.
I am a middle school math teacher and I love (some might say live and breathe) what I do.
Fashion-wise, I like my old jeans and being comfortable but I do shine up pretty nice (no, I do not own a little black dress but I do know where I can purchase one if I needed it). I absolutely love, love, love kids and all the crazy ideas they have (however I don’t want anymore of my own).
A few of my hobbies/likes are walking in the rain/snow, hiking, oil painting (which I never seem to do much of any more) and being anywhere near the mountains or the ocean. I love to read and learn - I am a perpetual student. I enjoy traveling (by car, air or water) especially long weekends to Maine to see my youngest son (or weekend jaunts anywhere). I really enjoy the theater (especially musicals), football (Patriots rule), and coaching youth cheerleading (football again – go Raiders!). A few of my favorite places are: the area surrounding the train station in Zurich, Switzerland; everywhere I visited in Cozumel, Mexico; the shops in Key West, Florida; the ocean front shops in Bar Harbor or Booth Bay, Maine and my clroom here in CT.
I have three children, two are home (sort of… ask me I’ll explain). I am very independent, easy going, well educated, an excellent conversationalist and overly tender hearted (I am the person that will spend sleepless nights if I think I may have offended someone), I am horrible at sitting still, I love to laugh (even at myself), I have a great sense of humor, I am slightly more than a little sarcastic, I watch little (very little) TV but I do enjoy a good movie and I love to people watch. So, that’s a little about me.
