Hello, We learn something from every relationship we are in, have been in, and will be in. I am a 42 yr old full time college student. I work for the college sometimes and I also work 16-20 hrs a week with children in an after school program, Mon-Thurs and every other Friday. So needless to say, I am on a budget. I do expect to make enough money to be happy after graduation, in 2-2.5 yrs, lol. I have 2 children, one will be going to college in the fall and the other will be following 2 yrs later. I am not looking for a father for my children. That time has ped. I am on here to find someone for me. I don't like to play games so if I feel a game going on, I will simply say thanks and leave. I am a veteran of the US Coast Guard. I have worked hard my whole life to take care of my children and I am now working hard so I will be able to take care of myself. I am looking for a man who is at least, moderately good looking, and in generally good physical condition. I am no skinny minnie, but for a woman my age, I think I am doing pretty well. I have been told on more than one occasion that I am a beautiful woman. I believe that a portion of that is atude, not just looks (beauty is inside as well). I can still get a “cat call” when I walk by construction sites, lol. I don't have much appreciation for full facial beards, they tend to look unkempt and they catch food, which is gross, not funny, guys. I am looking for a man who is between the ages of 39 and 49. A man who either does not have children or they are on their own or on their way to being on their own. I can be a friend to kids, but do not have it in me to raise another child or two. I would like a man who respects women and is not demanding, controlling, criticizing, or plain ole mean. Life has taught me and I can see the signs and will be gone. I am attracted to strong men but not the previously mentioned kind of men. I enjoy a man that respects me as an individual and as a woman. I enjoy be treated like a woman, because I enjoy being a woman. I have worked many traditionally male jobs but I have no political, feminist statement to make. I was just trying to raise my children the best I could, because their father had not part in it. I would like a man close to 6' in height, or taller, on the rare occasion, I like to wear high heels, lol (actually equal in height, 5'8” is ok, lol). If you are slightly older than 49 and you feel you would like to contact me, please be in good physical condition (don't be 50 and look 60)(this is firm), I don't know why but I am having a hard time with 50+, lol, also had a hard time with 30 when I was in my 20's and so on, lol. I am doing my best to age well and have been guessed as much as 10 years younger than I am. I am NOT a recovering drug addict NOR a recovering alcoholic. I would like to meet a man who is NOT in recovery. I do not do drugs, except if they are prescribed by a doctor, and even then, I do not abuse them. I do like to have a drink sometimes, usually in moderation, because I have to drive and, well, lets be real, hangovers are harder and harder to recover from, lol. I own 2 dogs and they are just as much a part of my family as my own children. I show them just as much love, guidance and kindness as I do anyone. No matter what kind of day I have had, or they have had, they are ALWAYS happy to see me when I get home. They don't care what I look like or smell like or what I brought them, they are just full of love. I am just as comfortable with sitting at home on Friday or Saturday night, cuddling on the couch with someone special watching a movie, as I am going to a fine restaurant, a play, shooting pool (though I am not very good at it, lol), burger joint, etc.... I was raised upper cl so I do enjoy the finer things even though I am just starting on my formal education (have to have that piece of paper, right?). I am at a point in my life when I can escape for a weekend and not worry about arrangements for my children. With some slight planning I can be spontaneous, lol (and this is a nice place to be). I like to make others laugh and I also enjoy laughing, myself. I am looking for someone who will be supportive of my dreams and aspirations, because I will be supportive of theirs. I am a woman who is loving, supportive, fun, intelligent, and forgiving. I am a nice person and will go out of my way for others. I don't find humor at the expense of others. I am a conservative, Christian, republican, so I am not interested in progressive liberals, sorry. I am looking for the same in a man. I am a fantastic, beautiful, compionate, intelligent, loving, and strong woman. I think it is only fair to let you know that experience has also taught me not to latch on to one man right away. Well, obviously, he has NOT turned out to be the one for me and I would hate to p on the one for me because I latched on to a player and he got deleted. So, I will be speaking to more than one man, I will be going on dates with other men. You will NOT hear about them. And it may end up that I do only go on dates with you. I have seen that some men say they only speak to one woman at a time, I am very skeptical of that, especially after they start to push their controlling boundaries (they have several women they are talking to and are playing games). Until you tell me you want me to be your girlfriend specifically and make that official in some way, I do not plan to let someone who IS interested in being just my man slip by. That is a ball that remains in the mans court. It is not a play for a woman to make, I am old fashioned in that respect. So guys, be very clear about your intentions from the get go. Don't think you are so special that you can play games. And always keep in mind, one mans trash is another mans treasure. So whoever you chose to venture out with, treat her right and with much respect, or you will NOT receive the same. *****Please, just a note, I am not looking for women, so gals, move on.********
