Alright. First attempt writing this was a bit overly cynical. I have a close friend who told me that I should be a comedian, but it's only because SHE'S hilarious and I'm really good at highlighting that. So, unless she's going to be my prop onstage, I'm screwed. Important things to know about me: I'm smart but lack the creative gene. I can be really, um... "square" at times. But I'm pretty much always happy and emotionally very low-maintenance. You may call it boring, I call it devoid of stress, lol. (<-- always finding the bright side!) I'm a realist and don't entertain very easily stories of fantasy, astrology, or fairy tale-esque perspectives. That doesn't mean that I dislike art or creativity, nor does it mean that I am by any means in a constant state of semi-depression, I just don't rely/revolve around those ideas. My mother is an artist, but she's the epitome of the "starving" variety, in that she lacks the motivation or grit to push herself into the fat-and-happy variety (does that exist?), anyways... I'm getting off topic. Back to what you'll need to know about me: I avoid the club scene. I prefer the pub. I'm a nerd by most accounts, and I will astound you by my stores of lameness and general unpopularity in my younger years. I eventually grew out of caring, as we all do (usually). I'm not into T.V. or pop-culture. I care not what is happening in anyone's televised lives, and it's the fastest way to bore me during conversation (come to think of it, that may actually be the ONLY way). Most afternoons, after work, I come home, turn on Pandora (lately, my Pumped Up Kicks station has gotten the most play), and clean, cook (take care of the "chores"), then go for a run on the beach (*not a big runner... I do it because it's less of a dislike than being all self-conscious when I'm scantily-clad on the sand). I come home and pop in a movie, or have dinner/drinks with a local friend, if anyone is free. My drink of choice? Ranges from Beer, Chardonnay, Martinis, or a _____ tonic. I'm learning the mixology thing a little at a time, but I tend to enjoy the results. :-)
