Like to join me? - I have now retired with a reasonable pension and my own home. But it’s not such an enjoyable life on your own and I want to find someone to share it with. If you’re still working yourself that’s fine, might even have a meal ready for you coming home from work! I am basically someone who mostly likes a quiet home-based life. This doesn't mean it’s boring as I have many interests at home, including gardening, politics/current affairs, online activities and I have a large TV, film and music collection. It would be nice if I had a partner that shared some of those things, I think I have a wide knowledge and appreciation of things that makes me an interesting and stimulating person to be with. I should explain that I don't want to stay at home all the time and I like to visit historical or scenic places, there are so many interesting such places in this country I’ve never been to, and I like doing a lot of walking, especially in the countryside (I am sorry but I am not so good for foreign travel because I do dislike flying a lot!). I am reasonably fit and healthy, since retiring I've done a lot of walking and tried squash, badminton and tennis again, and it’s gone ok, apart from doing my shoulder in! (on the mend now) I think there are three important things in a relationship, caring for each other, being interested in each others things and appreciating each other. But maybe you've got your own ideas about that? The qualities and character that I am looking for in someone include things like being basically kind, open minded, calm, thoughtful, sensitive, gentle, understanding, tolerant, patient, reserved, easy going - and probably a more quiet and private type of person like I am. I strongly believe in being totally committed to someone in a trusting, secure and stable relationship and making the effort to keep it strong and lasting. I have had relationships before in my life that didn't work for various reasons but now at my age, my only intention is to now be with someone right until the end - could that be you??
