The thing that I appreciate most in a partner is honesty. i know that's not original, but it is the truth. I appreciate honesty and integrity. I am not into playing games and really have no room for drama in my life. I am looking for maturity. Someone who realizes what life is about. You know, basic fundamentals like, you need to work in order to make the money to pay the bills...its a shame how many people in this world really don't get that concept... My greatest guilty pleasure is DVD's. I own a great deal of them and I can sit and watch movies all day long!! Long as i have movies, food, cigarettes (yes I smoke), someone special to cuddle up with, and some "treats", I'm good!! That is just pathetic, I know... I think chemistry happens immediately. Thats why you cannot truly say looks don't matter AT ALL. But you need time to really get to know someone. One great relationship mystery is exactly how much time you need to really know someone. I don't think there is a specific time frame by which you can base your relationship and how well you know someone. It really does happen over time. That's how people who are married for "umpteen" years can divorce suddenly. People change constantly, daily, and although it is a scary thing, it is definitly a part of life and something to recognize and respect... The keys to a lasting relationship are compromise, honesty, understanding, sensitivity, humbleness, and the "want to". You have to want to in order for any relationship to work.. To me, romance is something that can be described in very broad terms. you can be romantic and it be totally superficial, doing just enough to get what you want, OR you can be romantic and it can be right on point. If I were to try create a romantic atmosphere, I would do so thinking totally about my partner, not what i may want it to look like. Their favortie color might be green. I hate green, but would still use the color to create the scene for them. I am a master at romance if you let me be....
