Looking for either short-term fun or the second and last wife of my life. I am looking for a woman who is intelligent, empathic (I refuse to switch to empathetic, lol), trustworthy, kind -- especially to animals, children and people in service jobs (wait staff, delivery people, the person checking out your groceries); who sees disagreements in relationships not as contests to be won or lost but as challenges for us to work on solving together; who has a sense of humor and a child-like sense of wonder and fun; who doesn't expect me to be the head of the household, but rather who sees us as co-captains of the same team, as equals; who is a good listener, and who knows how to articulate her feelings, and wants to build a relationship where each of us WANTS to tell the other the good, the bad, the frightening, the joyous, the sad, and so on because US feels like home, a relaxing, warm and especially a SAFE home, that we take with us wherever we go. I'm a liberal-lefty-Democrat, and if you're not, it's hard for me to see how it could work. And if you're "not interested in politics," that means you don't care what kind of world your grandchildren will live in, and you don't care if this country is run fairly or unfairly, and -- well, basically, it means you care about you, your family, and your friends, maybe your employer and a few co-workers, and everybody else in the world can go f*** themselves and starve to death, for all you care. I don't care what a "good person" you think you are. If you don't know what's going on in the country and in the world, you're letting evil people win. In fact, evil people would stand no chance, except that there are so many people who are ignorant of what they are doing, like you?, that they win much more often than they would if more people (like you?) just paid attention. Do I sound angry? I am. And I know I'll die angry, lol, but fortunately I'll die loving and smiling too... I like to hike and camp and do the beach thing and swim, and go to hear live music (anything but country -- sorry! lol), read good fiction, keep up with the news, go out to eat (love Asian food in particular), see lots of movies, take road trips to anywhere, and yes, much more. I'm an atheist. I also am a member of the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Wilmington, NC, and when there is no pandemic, I go to the second service pretty much every Sunday morning. (My suggestion is that you google Unitarian-Universalism, but that's up to you.)
