I'm more of a face to face kinda girl... and I am new to the experiment of meeting people at the giant mixer that is the Internet, so the general rules of introduction and flirtation don't seem to apply. I wonder what I am left with.
In many ways, I am a contradiction. By appearance, one might think me alternative. They would, to a degree, be right. I love body modification, alternative music, and I am comfortable with many alternative scenes and lifestyles. By nature, one would find that I am a bit more country than that. I train and show horses, can rope, ride, brand, butcher, and build a barn to put it all in... I get dirty with the best of them. By education, I am a genius (literally). I have my BA in Speech Communication with a Minor in Philosophy and a minor in Psychology that I received at HSU. Currently, I am killing time before deciding which Graduate program to go into. By trade, I am a writer (mostly academic with a bit of fiction and editorial free-lance to pay the bills) and a photographer. I also take a few cles out at Shasta College to help out a friend. By age (35), I may seem to be nudging middle age. Few who know me would agree. I am the one at the Gogol Bordello show front and center rocking the mosh pit... just as I am the one who finds the after party. During my time at HSU, I coached the Speech & Debate Team. I've spent a lot of time around people a good 15 years my junior and made a lot of dear friends as well. What it taught me is that age and maturity do not go hand in hand.
Which brings me away from myself and to you... whoever you might be. If you are still reading, you hopefully understand that I am a rich, complex person not easily fit into any one box. The same is true of what I am looking for. I once read this fabulously vague answer that said, "What I find is what I am looking for." It was a wonderfully tautological argument yet completely true of my situation. I would love to go out and have a good time. If there is someone here who is mature, intelligent, and just has that something that clicks... well I am certainly open to that as well.
For those of you who simply skipped to the bottom, I am me and I am not looking for you.
