I'm a 48-year old sweetheart who's so far lived a very full life with a few rough patches. I am very comfortable in my own skin and would ideally like to spend time with the same type of man. I have a couple things I'm working through but all my heavy baggage is gone, replaced with the understanding that I am extremely fortunate. Ultimately I'd like to be married, but at the very least I'd like to meet some new people and have a good time enjoying all the things that Atlanta (and elsewhere, perhaps) has to offer.
I've been around the world, enjoy all types of movies (prefer DVDs at home over going to the cinema) and like experiencing new cultures. Music is a big part of my life and I listen to pretty much everything. Boredom and negativity suck the life out of me. I'm an extrovert and take an interest in others' experiences, tastes and opinions. Every once in a while I like to party like a rock star and at other times I like to curl up on the couch with a movie and my dog Henry (we both love play dates). I actually enjoy watching sports on the telly. I love hanging out with my neighbors and friends, just chatting over some good food and a few tasty beverages. I like spending time outdoors and am drawn to water. I'm active in my community and I think I have a responsibility to serve and help people. I am a Christian. I love my church. My faith defines me, but I don't force it on others. I'm a full-figured, but fit girl who takes care of her mind, body and soul by reading, working out, eating well and praying. I'm an awesome cook, love baking and have been told my carrot cake is other-wordly. I'm a pretty good mixologist too, and considering vodka a food group, love experimenting with infusions and martinis. I act my age only when it is absolutely necessary.
I'm attracted to a guy that's creative, funny, pionate and smart with a quick wit. Music is huge for me so I really want to keep company with a man who has a pion for music, either as an appreciator of all genres of music or one who plays music. I like guys that are in control but not controlling. He'll like hangin' out with his boys sometimes and that's a good thing because I love hangin' out with my girls. Liars, arrogant jerks, close-minded and fake people have no place in my life. Conviction is great. Uncompromising, not so much.
It took me a while to get here, but I have a great life now and I'm extremely happy. Sharing it with someone would be superb and add to the bliss. I hope you like what you've read. If you think we have some things in common, drop me a line!
