Hi, I am Dan, I am 6'7" tall, athletic, romantic, adventurous, pionate, fun, overly affectionate, caring, loving, humerous, intelligent, successful, creative, world traveler who likes to share fun and adventures and explore the possibilities that surround us. I love to talk about what new possibilities are out there to help us enjoy life, love, and the pursuit of happiness.
I am very easy to get along with, and I have a very diverse set of interests, so it is usually easy to find something to do or discuss. Laughter is usually a big part of my day, I am the one interjecting the funny comments and different points of view, I like to keep things light and humorous. I do tend to pick on myself a lot with my humor, I am an easy target usually just because of my size and good nature. You do not come across too many guys at 6'7 who are still in good shape and active at my age (not that I feel or act my age). I am happy that I am healthy enough to be playing baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball and golf with whoever may want to play. I like to keep fit, healthy and happy, physically, mentally and emotionally.
One of the values that I cherish most is respect for others, and it shows in my actions when with a lady most of all. I am, and always will be a hopeless romantic, those little things are special to me, it makes me feel useful, valued, and respectful at the same time. I do believe that many of today's women have masked the opportunity for that romance and chivalry by wanting to be more strong and independent, and not wanting a man to do those things for them. When I am with someone like that, I still act the same way I always do, it is in my nature, and I just tell them to relax and let me be a gentleman, it is important to me to do so. Usually they will cooperate, but I can tell they do not really like it as much as someone who respects and appreciates that kind of thing.
I love to cook, and I love to explore and try new things. I cannot say what I would want to make for someone at any time, that has to come from the heart based on what you feel at the moment. For me, cooking something for someone is a gift of culinary delights. The question I ask myself is , what should I make for you that would make you feel special? A gift like that is something that reflects who you are, so you are giving a part of yourself to someone, and they can taste and enjoy that part of you, and savor every moment. While it is true that you need to know what that person's tastes are, do they like fish, meat, veggies, chocolate, whatever it is, you can take their basic likes and dislikes, and craft something special for them, that will be a part of you that you are giving to them.
I have traveled all over the world, it has given me a great perspectivev on life, people, and it has helped to shape who I am and what I like to do and experience. I love to explore new things, new places, new people, I have never been much for the status quo, I like variety, adventure, and fresh ideas about things. I enjoy the diversity of different landscapes, cultures, people, food, it is a great experience.
I like to drink red wine, and an occasional micro-brew beer, or a well made margarita, I do not drink alone, and only once in a while when and usually for a special occasion or to share special times with someone, and always in moderation. I have never done any drugs or smoked cigars or cigarettes and I never will, it is just not for me.
I take care of myself physically, both at the gym, as well as with what I eat. I am not a health food nut, but I eat healthy. I love to cook, and I am also very good at it. I like to enjoy what I eat, so I do push the limits now and then, but again in moderation. I have been blessed with never having a weight problem, I have always been fit and healthy, and it is easy to maintain it.
I have discovered that I am an emotional person, overly affectionate and sharing, something that I do see that differentiates me from the majority of men. I will cry at the movies, I enjoy many of the things that most men do not notice, the scent of a flower, a beautiful sunset, the little things in life that bring added depth to our world. Emotions are where we get our energy, and our strength. Without emotions and feelings, we would be an empty shell.
There is a saying that I use in my personal as well as professional life, something that reminds me to always look at things differently, and to try new things........"Different is not always better, but better is always different"
