If I don't make it short, I'll never do it.
I'm 75, and recovering from serious illness. It looks like I'll live to have at least one more chapter in my life. I have some physical ailments, but I'm alive and ready to function again. My mind is so very active that it can be a bit much for people. I am learning all the time.
My biggest reason for staying alive right now is my work. I'm a multiple award-winning writer/artist, mostly of funny stuff, but now doing a serious book for a change.
Personally, I'm frequently liable to be joking; or else having a serious discussion. I am always always curious. I am jovial and always try to be kind. I love nature, especially flowers and trees. I am always learning. I have travelled some, and lived away for a long time. If I am not yet urbane, surely I must be getting there.
My darling dyke partner died 24 years ago. It's time for more love and friendship.
Oh yeah - one more thing. I am "Trans". Since long long ago. This does not make me any kind of freak, I mean, I am highly eccentric and self-determining, but not because of the trans-ness. I was like this from birth. Just another friendly and strong woman.
