"I'm 1st generation to the United States, although I was born here, I grew up speaking Dutch. About a year ago I finally settled a 10 year long Divorce and Custody Battle from a Marriage-Relationship that existed only 9 years. It was never my intention to divorce, moreover it wasn't my decision to endure such a tumultuous custody battle. After that I met someone nice and dated her for three years, unfortunately things didn't work out: that ended 2.5 years ago. However I feel that I'm now emotionally healed and available to meet somebody :) It's been about a Year that I've been on Plenty of Fish and have met some fantastic people (and a few not so fantastic ones, of course), and I can't think of a better way to get a new started. I've paid my way through life since the age of 8 (eight years old) ~ on my own at 13, I became self employed, self sufficient, and self educated. Although I came from an abusive home I broke the pattern and became 180 degrees different than my Parent(s). I'm a Father of three children, never lost custody, and am a proud Daddy!! :) " "I enjoy mostly 70's and 80's music., however, my kids are introducing me to some new stuff too:) . . . I like movies, cooking, researching conspiracy theories, soccer, Beach Camping, (Any Camping) , exploring/hiking, target shooting, playing pool, travel, collecting antique swords/daggers, knife throwing (it's a sport, lol) seeker of truth, and much more. I'm hoping to find someone on here who enjoys good company, conversations about people and relationships, i.e. what makes us tick, likes and dislikes. I'm fascinated by this universe in which we live.
