About CMLover
Trump Supporters -Only- Reply. Right now, I am drifting aimlessly. Country music, oldies 50-60, and bluegrass, in that order, is my comfort zone. I am ultra conservative, and a Baptist. Life is meant to be shared with a partner. I lost mine and yearn for someone who likes to travel, has a sense of humor, is a techie, maybe a little golf, bowling, or just watch TV. I am NOT a beach person. Being from Milwaukee, beer city, my refrigerator always has Lite beer in it. Most of my pants/shorts are jeans. I am a one-woman man, because when I make a commitment to God, it is forever. I lost my wife of 53 years to lung cancer. I treat her passing as a celebration into God’s kingdom. It is true that we all want to go to heaven, but not just yet. I am alive and young at heart, not looking back in tearful bereavement, but looking forward with excitement and anticipation. I love country music; jitterbug or slow are my only two speeds (jitterbug on hold until new knee is totally healed). I have traveled with job transfers in my 20-year Navy career but missed seeing much of the USA (ships don't park on land). I yearn to travel, maybe a month or 2 at a time, but would only do it with a partner. I prefer someone that has NO pets, but that is negotiable. I am a bit of a techie with my previous jobs as electronic tech and network administrator, but now I am fully retired. The other part of my brain doesn't work to well (it is all intact - just doesn't get much use), so my shortcomings are history, art, and all the other humanities that I need coaching from a partner to grasp the essence of the subject matter. I have always told people that it is evident you can teach an old dog new tricks (speaking about myself), because I realize I don’t have all the answers; I love sharing new experiences and a new way of doing things. I think turn-offs play a bigger part of compatibility than total common interests. A turn off for me is someone that is not a Christian, or one who smokes, or someone that is not a real country music/bluegrass lover. Emotional compatibility is all about the chemistry between two people –that special intangible connection that can’t be predicted. I sincerely believe that the kind of music you listen to, is, in a small way, a window into your soul. My life is very mundane, and what would perk it up is someone that can play the part as an "Activity Director".
