I am living in Boca Raton, Florida in the U.S. I am in a bad marriage and life is just too short at this age to sacrifice whatever time is left being miserable especially when it is within one's power to change course. I am planning to live out the rest of my retirement years in a quiet, peaceful, simple lifestyle. The most powerful words ever are, "JUST DO IT !!!" I have been to the Philippines several times in the past and enjoyed my time there. I will be re-locating and am seriously considering a move to the Philippines. If I cannot find a good place for me in the Philippines, then I will think about Thailand, or Vietnam. Why overseas? My monthly pension is too small to stay here in the US. But in those countries it will be plenty enough to live a very comfortable life. An added bonus about the Philippines is the people there speak English. I always look for the good in people. I want to live out the rest of my retirement years in a quiet, peaceful, simple lifestyle. I am retired now and working occasionally as a musician locally and on cruise ships. I am also doing some freelance journalism work from time to time..... and loving the only life I have. Enjoy it while you can. It goes by quick.
