I love life. I love to laugh and try to surround myself with happy, fun loving, positive people. I've become the master of laughing at myself (and yes, there always seems to be plenty to laugh at!) I consider moody, grumpy or just generally unhappy people a challenge and hopefully by the time I leave, they're a bit happier because I was there. (Either that, or they're just thankful that I'm gone and happy for that!) Being born and raised in Southern California, I have a rather laid-back, easy-going atude. I don't sweat the small stuff and in the grand scheme of things, most of the stuff is small. After my divorce, I let my ex have custody of all excess baggage.
I love 80's music, Seinfeld reruns and funny movies...Adam Sandler and Robin Williams are my two comedy heros. I use to be a news junkie, but the world just got too depressing...now, when it comes to the news, I keep up with just the important stuff. I love the San Antonio Spurs. Although I don't get down there nearly as much as I'd like, I love the coast...the smell, the feel of the sand between your toes, holding your best friends hand while walking down the beach...you just can't beat it. I think occasional weekend get-aways are a necessary thing (Perhaps we can peion the insurance companies to pay for them as "Mental Health Days?") I enjoy sharing public displays of affection...I want everyone to know how I feel about my partner and how they feel about me.
I enjoy going out to eat or getting it "to go" and enjoy it while watching a DVD with my special guy. You just can't beat a pizza and movie while curled up on the couch with that someone special on a Friday night. While my favorite is comedy, other than scary, I can enjoy just about any kind of movie...as long as I'm with good company. I like to be adventurous and spontaneous. I like watching gorgeous sunsets, cuddling in front of a warm fireplace on a cold day and spending rainy days in bed with my special someone.
I want to meet someone that looks forward to seeing me at the end of the day as much as I look forward to seeing them. Someone who will call me just to hear my voice and put a smile on my face. Someone who is willing to receive unconditional love and acceptance.
Now, what I don't like. I don't like games or drama...I graduated from high school a long time ago and left the drama and games there. I don't like guys that say they want a relationship and talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. As you can see, this list is much smaller...as I said, I prefer "happy".
If you like what you've read, send me an email...if you don't like what you've read, what can I say...perhaps you're one of those "challenging people" I referred to earlier!
Good luck to all in your quest to find your perfect, special someone!
