Kidney stones, also called renal calculi, are solid concretions (crystal aggregations) of dissolved minerals in urine; calculi typically form inside the kidneys or bladder. The terms nephrolithiasis and urolithiasis refer to the presence of calculi in the kidneys and urinary tract, respectively

its your lucky day, i do lithotripsy which is a procedure that uses shockwaves to bust up the stones. Stones are primarily calcium and the causes are heredity, the main cause is dehydration. i am busier in the summer than the cooler months because people are out in the heat and not taking in enough water to flush the kidneys, when that happens the urine crystalizes and forms a stone.

my mom had some issues with that, she said taking peppermint is supposed to help break them down... I dunno if that's true or not, but it's worth checking out!
