Today I got spoken to by a manager I guess you can call her, anyway's I am being wroten up for basically what she thinks is being lazy and talking to much.

I am very upset at this because of the fact I am a very hard worker and I bust my a$$ at my job and I don't know one person that doesn't stop take catch his or her brathe from what they are doing in order to be able to go back to work, so I have admited to stop talking but that is only for a sec or some times more, when I have done everything there is to be done, and I feel I am being out casted I guess you could say.. because I see others on my end that do what I do and I never hear jack shi$ about them getting into trouble and I am more then fed up with this b.s, I've been with this job for 4 years now and belive me when I say I am more then pass ready to move on to something else, I have looked for other jobs but do not get no respond.

I mean I was told if I don't stop then I'll be fired basically, surly I was mad as hell because she is the only one who say's something to me which makes me thing she is out casting me and not just that but makes me wonder why my boss hasn't said noting to me instead of a freakin manager etc.

Hell I'd even take a work at home job which I have been looking into and haven't found much.

I could use some advice on how to find another job so I can leave this one asap..

any help would be great.

the grass isn't greener on the otherside. Be careful, sometimes you just have to bite the bullett and move on. Remember where ever you go you will have to start off on the bottom of the totem pole and eventually you will be right back where you are now. Take a couple of weeks and reevaluate your position, your just really pissed off right now. I wish you luck with whatever you do

If I were you, before you up and quit, talk to your boss and let him/her know what this manager is doing to you. I don't think its right!

Unfortunately it DOES happen everywhere. I don't know the job situation in your state. You might want to try one of the online job sites. I used to do a lot of hiring in a previous job, and that's where I got most of my employees.
Also, how is you relationship with your actual boss? Does he have an open door policy? Can you addres grievances with him?

Have you tried the get a second job so you have more security route... This does two things prepares you for a change in jobs and doesnt let the job you have now take advantage of you because you do have other income. Then it helps push you into another job faster because you will be treated totally different at a new job and give you a new perspective on what you really want.
If and when you are secure - Then you can drop conversation lines to coworkers within earshot of your manager ... like they treat me so well at my other job. Its nice to know your appreciated for the work you do. etc etc ... Its a really positive environment. I already got a raise.

The other route would be to go over the managers seniority and let her superiors know upfront what happened and that you want it documented because you feel your being singled out for a personal reason not a job performance reason. If they know about it they can protect you or you can risk them taking her side.

I had a person who wanted to see me fired. I was called into the office and 5 of her superiors told the VP if you fire her you better fire 450 other people too and the person who wants her fired. She is integral to this company. Needless to say the person who started the problem got her butt chewed for not providing accurate information. I now am immune to the office side of politics and I do not take advantage of it. I still do my job the right way. He apologized to me and handed me a cash bonus after reviewing documentation about how much I worked and customer compliments etc ...

Kelly7717.. I have went to the store manager that had just came in right when I went on lunch today, but all the problems started after my lunch. I spoke to him and he basically sided with her.

So when I got home I called the head of the store up and they give me another number and person to speak to, and I called but she wasn't in.

And yes I have tried looking for lot's of other jobs and have gotten no where, I don't know if it's my resume and how that looks but I am going to keep looking, it's all I can do.

What bothers me is the fact some times I can not help talking and I still even help others out doing there job.

What I'm the most up set about is I see the others team memebers on my end do the same shi$ and noting happens as far as I know to them, I feel I've put in my four years of hard work and shouldn't have to deal with this crap any more or longer.

Surely I can understand work is meant to work and work is not for talking etc etc, I know this. I was only spoken to one other time that is what doesn't make since to me, and all of a sudden I get this.

Networking putting the word out to friends about looking for something else.

Go to a temp agency on your next day off maybe they can match you to a job that is permanent in your field.

There is absolutely nothing worse than being unhappy with your job. I dont see talking being a problem if your doing your job. So lets see this company thinks of you as a number that can be replaced instead of a valued employee personally I think you would be far better off changing jobs if you are truly miserable. Peace of mind has a lot of value.

I didn't know there was a state job posting listing that matches a person skills etc, because I never heard of such a thing until now.

I do have my resume up on careerbuilder and monster, careerbudilder has send me jobs but most of them are ones you need a deragree in etc.

And yeah I agree with you I don't see talking is as problem when I am not stopping people I am talking to that is in my work area from doing there job etc.

I can't wait to tell them when I find something else, I already plan to on monday to go to a temp agency which is my next day off.

But for whatever the reasoning maybe I guess my work doesn't like people do to much of anything, I mean they don't want people to listen to there MP3 players because they think it has to do something with being safe, which I think is b.s because I can hear what is around me.. because I have my mp3 set at a very low volume etc.

Oh well there lost .. that is once I find something else.

There are several ways ... your city has job postings, your unemployment office has postings, and state government has job postings. Most of these are on the net.

that dose happen every were but the key thing is stay out of your mangers eye site if there looking to do cute backs they start to singal people out and then three write ups your gone
wait a week after your write up and stay bizzy when ever she sees you even if it shuffling papers with your eyes at you desk talking to someone at least look bizzy while breathing

and if this manager has and open door take out to seconds of your time and ask her at least once a week it there any thing i could do to be of more help to you not for her to help but extend your self to here
this should help your relationship if not they are not good management and i would start looking for new work she is singaling you out and like i said three write ups for the same thing she/he can pinkslip you to the door best of luck hope it works for you

Thanks for all of your useful tips and information as I'm greatful for it all, really I am.

I am just overly burned out at this job which doesn't help matters that I at times do not care but need the job just for bills a lone etc.

Anyway's I'll look into that site along with some temp agnecys, something has to give though because I'm sick of this type of b.s. etc.
