I think humans are the dumbest things that walk the earth!!! ignorance just seems to keep growing! yesterday my friend and i were making plans to hang out this weekened and she comes back with "yea you should come over here instead, my brothers comin down i think you two would really hit it off because hes just like you" it just sort of insulted me because i dont know its hard to explain just like me??? its not like i'm horribly different or something i just have more physical limitations then some others do but so what ya know? it just amazes me how shocked people are when they learn that i've only dated able bodied men not to say i wouldn't date someone with a disability i just never have sometimes people EXPECT me to date those with the same "problems" as me and it just gets annoying GRRR sorry guys had to vent LOL god i hate ignorance

Is this a first time meeting? nooo i went to jr high and high school with her Nope we were too tight for things to be akward its just she feels since im disabled i should have a bf that is too but the thing is her brother is nothin like me his mental capacity is that of an 8 year old and hes like 25 so yea we're nothing alike except in the physical aspect |

I'm sorry your friend is not handling this well, but if she's important to you...you might give her some time to get a grip. She might be overwhelmed about your situation now and be reacting poorly. I'm sorry that your life is changing so much now that you have to deal with these things too. You are obviously a strong and well adjusted woman...you will do what's right for you in the end...but don't jump to the conclusion that she's changed her feelings, just because she doesn't know how to act right now. I bet that after spending some time together...all will be like it was before.
